Bring on 3

My littlest boy is 3 years old. It's hard to believe. For so long he has been our baby boy. Our sweet child is done with the terrible twos & is now entering the unknown 3s. He is still our best cuddler & eater. He loves his older brothers even though they do fight a lot these days
& he has stepped into his role as big brother wholeheartedly.
He still loves books
the swings at the park
& when he doesn't get what he wants he lets you know it with lots of yelling & crying.
Rather than having a party we spent the day at Disneyland with his Auntie Kayci, brother Joey & myself. It was such a fun day that started at his birth time of 0950 right outside the gates of Disneyland. Our Jimmy was very ready to celebrate his day.
He happily posed with the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland as long as the queen stayed far away.
It was a fun jam packed day. 8 hours, 11 rides, snacks, lunch, some tears, some laughs & just a great day spent with my boys. Thank you Kayci for spending the day with us. I know Jimmy loves his time with you & so do I.
We ended our day with a group photo
& headed home for dinner with the family, birthday wishes, presents & of course a cake decorated with superheroes which continues to be a favorite.
I look forward to allowing you to make some of your own decisions over the next year, watching you grow & change & just becoming less of a toddler & more of a big boy. And just maybe you will grow out of the 25% over the next year at 37" & 29 lbs. We love you Jimmy Coco-pop which is what you call yourself.

1/2 Year Birthday

The days seem to go by very slowly & yet suddenly my baby girl is one month older already. At 6 months old she now weighs 15 lbs & is 25 1/4" long both in the 25th percentile. She is a tiny little thing but holds a huge place in every heart in our home. Holly is such an easy baby. She rarely cries, soothes herself to sleep, loves to smile, sleeps on her belly, recognizes her name, reaches up to be picked up & ABSOLUTELY loves water.

Our little girl still has her lovely little mohawk.
She loves her feet especially in her mouth.
She can sit up.
She knows exactly what she wants & goes after it.
As soon as she saw her daddy eating ice cream she grabbed it & shoved it in her mouth & she couldn't get enough of it.
It was Valentine's Day though so we didn't have the heart to stop her. Could you really tell her no?
And this last photo is one of my favorites. I love so many things about our baby girl but my favorite by far is the way she looks at me with her very dark eyes. Happy 1/2 year baby girl! We love you so much more every day if that is possible.

Enjoying the Winter Warmth

Living in Southern California we don't often experience really cold weather during winter but it is rare that we get really HOT weather so when it happens we take advantage of it & spend lots of time outside. This last weekend the boys bounced in the trampoline, ran around the yard, had a picnic & enjoyed painting paper & themselves. They play hard, they get dirty & they have fun.
Even Baby Holly (Jimmy's name for his little sister) enjoyed her afternoon outside. We love the warm weather but we especially love it during the winter.
