Happy Birthday Jojo

Our New Year's Eve baby turned 7 today. To celebrate we had some friends over for cake, presents & kid fun. Our loveable boy is so sweet, funny & playful. He has started to enjoy sports more, he's doing great in school & he's doing great at Taekwondo. We would celebrate his birthday every year but his special day is always a reason to celebrate the new year. Happy Birthday Jojo!!!

Thankful

Thanksgivingis a very special day in our house. The whole family comes over dinner. We spend the day watching football, playing outside & my favorite part of the day is getting all of us together in a family photo for our Christmas cards.

My favorite photos of the day were the ones captured with my kiddos & my hubs...which are what I'm most thankful for in life.
Everyone but me finds it torturous so I have to agree to silly photos but it's worth it to capture these beautiful moments.

Annual Halloween Party

Tonight we attended Jackie & Ryan's annual Halloween party. Rick left it up to me to choose our costumes so to his dismay I chose to raid Kayci's closet so we could be ravers. We joined our friends for drinking, eating & dancing & had a great adult night out. I imagine next year Rick will want to have more input so he doesn't end up dressed like this again.

Halloween

Another Halloween has come & gone. This year instead of family costumes we decided to let the children choose what they wanted to be. Johnnie wanted to be Snake Eyes from GI Joe, Joey chose a Storm Trooper from Star Wars, Jimmy was a Ninja Turtle & Holly of course chose to be a princess.

I asked for group shot with the promise of a silly photo & it was my favorite of the night because it shows their personalities...sweet, silly, crazy & a little wicked.

Mudderella

It's quickly becoming a tradition that my girlfriends & I get together to participate in a run, spend a few nights away without husbands, drink some wine & have some girl time. This year we trekked to Temecula to participate in the Mudderella. It was a 6 mile, 12 obstacle muddy course created for women by women. It wasn't very challenging but maybe that's because I'm comparing in to the Tough Mudder we did last year. But it was a lot of fun to get away, get dirty & have some quality girl time.

8th Birthday

Our 1st born is 8. It's hard to believe that I have been a mama for 8 years. Our baby boy is no longer a baby at all. He is so smart. Very good at math. Such a great artist & so creative. He is obsessed with video games & if we were willing to let him he would play them all day. He is still great at sports & is an avid football fan. He likes to push his boundaries a lot more than he used to but when he's sweet he can melt your heart. I'm very proud of the kid he is growing into but I still wish he would slow down & stay my baby boy a little longer.

Princess at Disneyland

To celebrate Holly turning 3 Rick & I decided to take our baby girl to Disneyland all by herself so she could be treated like a princess for a day. This post is going to be picture overload but it was such a fun day & she seemed so happy so I just couldn't stop taking photos. What a difference a day makes...she was scared of Minnie Mouse when we first arrived but by the end of the day she was all smiles.
As you can see from the change in her demeanor a day at Disneyland completely changed her outlook of Disney characters. Our baby loved all the attention from her parents & the time she was given just to herself.

Our baby girl had an amazing day & was asleep before we left the parking lot. She might not remember this day but I'll never forget.
